YangSDK is a set of Software Developer Kits designed from our cognitive image processing kernel for different applications. It provides a comprehensive and yet very flexible framework for different levels of image processing and image understanding applications.

Version Convention

All family members of YangSDK image processing and understaning SDK have the same installation name: YangSDK.dll. Therefore, the version control of YangSDK will have special conventions to distinguish the following aspects:
1. Level: level of the application. The higher is the level, the more comprehensive or advanced the application. Level 1 is usually for single task and the workflow is not complicated. Level 2 is for multi-task for relatively simple structured applications. Level 3 is the highest level. It is for advanced tasks with multi-working flows and advanced applications.
2. ID: unique code to distinguish a family member to others in the same level. This ID is to distinguish different projects.
3. Ver1: major revision
4. Ver2: minor revision
The version of every YangSDK.dll read in this order: (Level%3==0?+1:+0).(ID).(Ver1).(Ver2)
Under this convention, version 1.x.x.x, 4.x.x.x and 7.x.x.x YangSDK.dlls are all level 1 YangSDK.
Advantages: Since the interfacing structure of each family member of YangSDK family is the same, the developer will have a very short learning curve for each additional YangSDK family member. Also provide a very flexible platform to allow the developer to choose from either light-weight YangSDK for simple applications and high-duty YangSDK for complicated applications. The developer will have the most flexibility to combine different YangSDK to suite their needs on the fly.
Disadvantages: More storage spaces will be needed for family members.
